From April 25-27, 2023, the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) conducted a Technical Assistance Consultancy (TAC) in Lima, Peru, collaborating with the Congress of Peru’s Department of Parliamentary Research and Documentation (DIDP).
From April 19-21, 2023, The House Democracy Partnership (HDP) organized a regional legislative exchange in Mombasa, Kenya, bringing together members of parliament and legislative staff from six African countries: Kenya, Liberia, The Gambia, Ghana, Mozambique, and Zambia. The program concentrated on key topics such as the legislative budget process, legislative oversight on public debt, and debt management practices.
The House Democracy Partnership facilitated a virtual exchange between the Congressional Research Service (CRS) of the U.S. Congress and their counterparts in the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute (PRTI) of Mongolia’s State Great Hural as well as the Expertise and Analytical Department (EAD) of Armenia’s National Assembly. This virtual exchange touched on two main topics regarding the CRS approach to serving Congress, specifically on the role of robust legislative research in lawmaking and the duties of researchers in advancing the mission of a legislature.

From February 20-23, 2023, the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) engaged the National Assembly of Moldova on strengthening parliamentary initiative and legislative oversight of the energy and defense sector.
From February 14-17, 2023, the House Democracy Partnership held a regional exchange in coordination with the George C. Marshall Center (GCMC) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The program explored different avenues of security oversight and crisis communications including sessions on addressing corruption in the security sector; foundations of digital security, disinformation, digital inauthenticity, countering foreign malign influence; and crisis communications in the legislative sector.
From February 6-8, 2023, a delegation of members of the Kosovo Assembly visited Washington, DC as part of a U.S.-based study mission on parliamentary ethics framework development. During their trip, they met with prominent figures in the U.S. ethics system, including representatives from the U.S.
From January 31-February 3, 2023, the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) traveled to Mombasa, Kenya to implement a Technical Assistance Consultancy (TAC) with the Kenyan National Assembly. This exchange focused on the budget process, parliamentarian-staff relations, and bicameral policymaking as part of the 13th Parliament’s Post-Election Seminar—a convening of all National Assembly and Senate legislators in Kenya
On January 31, 2023, the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) organized a Technical Assistance Consultancy (TAC) on Supporting Strategic Foresight in Ukraine. During this session, the Verkhovna Rada and their newly established research service discussed the effective use of strategic foresight as a tool for policy planning and preparation for future events.
