Statement on Reports of Violence in Kenya

WASHINGTON, DC (June 25, 2024) -- Today, Chairman Vern Buchanan and Ranking Member Dina Titus of the House Democracy Partnership released a statement on reports of violence unfolding in Kenya:

“As one of our founding partner legislatures in 2006, the House Democracy Partnership has worked closely with the Kenyan Parliament for many years. We are disheartened to see chaos and violence in response to recent legislative actions. We urge all parties to seek peace and de-escalate.”
